Originally part of the Taiwan Top 100 Historic Buildings, this former coal washing plant preserves the original concrete pillars and brickwork from its industrial heyday. Today, it offers visitors a breathtaking panoramic view of the quiet town of Jingtong.

By merging historical depth with a chic, modern aesthetic, we aim to establish Coal Yard Café as a must-visit destination and a signature landmark that defines the soul of Jingtong.

菁桐車站百大歷史建築 洗選煤場觀景咖啡廳

原為百大歷史建築洗選煤場，保留了當年洗煤場的水泥柱和磚瓦， 遊客可在此俯瞰菁桐小鎮全景。 文化 x 景觀 x 懷舊工業風 建立一個具歷史感、文青吸引力與觀光亮點兼具的品牌，使「碳場咖啡」變成菁桐特色代表地標之一。

設計目標 / 自然環境色調與配合計畫
百年建築在自然環境中，如果過於突兀的色調影響自然景觀的整體感，因此以融合性為主要原則。以環境中擷取的紅磚色系，更易於融合於百年建築氛圍，遠處觀望時也更加清晰易辨。

設計目標 / 盡量不做設計的減法美學

建築物本身的歷史風土，已成為台灣紀念古蹟。挖掘更多時代文化的永續生命，不需要過度設計。1. 重新油漆 2. 地板改造 3. 傢具更換 4. 吊燈更換 5. 窗戶改造。
